Electronics & Creative Prototyping

From circuits to working prototypes

Students began by exploring simple electronic circuits using breadboards and learning basic programming with MakeCode. They programmed and reprogrammed their boards to control different systems, including an automatic door.

As their skills developed, students moved from circuits and code to designing and building their own prototypes. They created and tested small robots and mechanisms, including a mechanical hand, learning through experimentation, testing and improvement.

Students also documented their design process by creating a booklet explaining how they developed their robot, connecting practical making with communication and reflection.
